To have a family doctor in the PrivaMED network, you must become a member by signing in to a subscription. You only pay for one annual subscription to gain access to the entire network. The subscription gives each member of the subscription personal access to Internet services. Access to the electronic health record is individual for people 14 years of age and over.

Types of subscription**:

• Solo: $145 (one person)
• Duo: $265 (two people)
• Family*: $325 (three to six people)

*Based on a maximum of two people aged 21 and over and four people under age of 21.

** Payment for a subscription can be made on an annual or monthly basis. Subscriptions are always for a period of one year, renewable by tacit agreement. GST and QST are added to the subscription prices.

The price of consultations is determined according to the type of consultation and includes, if necessary, the preliminary appointment with the nurse.

What is the difference between an ultrasound-guided injection and a non-ultrasound injection?

Ultrasound-guided injection : 

Ultrasound is used to guide the injection of the medication into a targeted area. This allows the doctor to visualize the needle and the area to be treated in real-time.

• Cortisone injection under ultrasound (1 site) ; $200
• Cortisone injection under ultrasound (2 sites) ; $300

Non-ultrasound injection :

The medication is injected blindly, without the aid of ultrasound to guide the needle. The doctor typically relies on the patient's anatomy and their experience to locate the injection site.

For some needs, a nurse consultation may be more suited to your needs. If this is the case, we also have consultations for which the basic rates are established according to the time you spend with the nurse.

Depending on the services required and / or a particular context, incidental / additional costs may be added to your billing:

Administrative cost :

•  Non-subscriber fees: $70 (+tx) will be added tothe base rate

Contextual fees :

• Surcharge “outside working hours” (Saturday morning/Holiday) : $ 45
• Fees for additional medical consultation time: $50 per 10 minutes.
• Cancellation fees 24 hours ** : equivalent to the fees for the planned consultation

** Cancellation policy : You can cancel your appointment at any time via the Internet or by telephone up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel your appointment after the cancellation deadline, your member file will include cancellation fees at the current rate and it will no longer be possible, until these fees are paid, to make an appointment in all clinics in the network and this for all subscription members. If you arrive more than 7 minutes late for your appointment and it is impossible for the clinic to find an alternative solution, your appointment will be considered to have been canceled after the cancellation deadline.
